Extended tram info

To travel by tram in Amsterdam you have to buy a 'Strippenkaart' This 'Strippenkaart' costs FL. 11,= and you can buy them in the Central Station, in every postoffice and in most kiosks. You can also buy a ticket in the tram itself, but this is much more expensive. You can also buy day-tickets.
This 'Strippenkaart' can also be used for busses and subway.

Amsterdam has been devided in zones. On your 'strippenkaart' you have 15 zones. From the central station to most centre areas is 1 zone, this means 2 'strips' on your 'strippenkaart'. If you are traveling 2 zones then this means 3 'strips' on your "Strippenkaart". (You get the picture ?) The average tram rides every 10 minutes. Trams start riding at about 6.00 Am until about 0.30 Am. In the night time you have busses. (Info on busses under construction).

From the central station you have 10 different tram-lines.
The streets listed here might be reachable by more trams, but the tramlines listed here are the only ones with a direct connection to the listed streets from the central station.
